Canon Activity Thread

how it works

  • It is required for canon characters to be posted twice per calendar month to maintain their positions, and three times to keep their canons safe from challenges. It is the responsibility of canon players to post in this thread with a link to their canon posts, to demonstrate that this activity requirement is being met.

  • Upon first offense of a member failing to post twice within a calendar month and updating this thread to provide proof of posts, a warning will be issued. The posts will then need to be made within three days for the member to keep their canon position. If this is done, the canon position  will be maintained, but the warning will remain on the canoj for 6 months. Upon second offense of not fulfilling the two-post requirement withi  this 6 month period, the canon position will be automatically forfeited.

  • If there are extenuating circumstances in which you cannot post (ex. lack of internet, family matter, etcetera), we offer canon players 30 days of extension per year (does not need to be used all at once). This allows a period where canon players are not expected to post, without repercussions. You must send the admin (@aliyaah) a personal message (via site pm or discord) beforehand to ask for extension, and it must be for a legitimate reason. Reasons such as "not having muse to post" does not count for this. 

  • NEW: Following return from extension, any missed posts are expected to be posted within 15 days. These do not count for your posts for the following month (ex. If you missed the deadline for May posts due to being on extension, your next posts that are to  be made within the aforementioned 15 days count for May, not June)

  • If a roleplayer currently has an extension, it will be removed at the time of the next canon activity post made, or upon informing Ali of return from extension. If the extension is still needed, please contact Ali to keep it. As per the rule above, extensions are last resort if you cannot get on to post. This means if you are posting other characters, you don't need extension. If we find you are posting other characters while on canon extension, your canon extension will be removed.

  • In order to update this thread, please fill out of the form so staff can update your activity.

  • If you have recently won an audition for a canon character, and you were awarded your position before the 15th of the month, you will be required to make at least one post with your character that month. Otherwise, your two posts per month will begin in the next calendar month.

  • Posts that cannot be used for canon activity include: Interlude Board posts, posts that have been edited, and recycled posts. 

  • Please do not edit your posts in the canon activity tracker once they have been made.

  • It is expectation that canons are able to post at least 400+ word posts consistently, as is made clear in all the audition threads. We ask that you maintain this, especially when it comes to posts you are using for updating canon activity. Posts that are less than 400 words will be allowed every once in a while, however these posts should be few and far between. If you are consistently updating canon activity with posts less than 400 words, you will likely be contacted to the staff about your posting ability with your canon character.

  • NEW: At this time, please only update this thread with the three required posts for the month for your character and no additional posts. 

  • NEW: Canons must be posted three times in a calendar month in order to be immune to challenges for their position. If a canon is posted less than three times in a calendar month, they will receive a strike. If this happens a second time within a 6-month span, their position will become challengeable. They will also become challengeable if they have a combination of one strike, and one warning.

  • Staff cannot update their own canons.

  • Check the DATE of the post. People don't often post here on the same day they made the reply.

  • Update the list and then delete the post the member made in this thread.

  • If warning is sent out, put what date you sent it and your name.
